NZ Fire Doors has a great deal of experience with supplying fire-rated and non-fire solid core doors –internal and external – for education buildings, including doors for small teaching blocks and student accommodation. Whether your education project is a new build or a refurbishment, our experts can help you to order the fully-compliant doors at the right price.

Architectural doors
Our internal fire-rated doorsets can be made to match other features within a school, college or university, ensuring the architect͛s vision is respected. We do this with the application of a specified veneer or overlay (laminate, vinyl or steel) to the faces. Inlay panels or planted detail can also be affixed on request, to suit heritage buildings.
Doors for compliance
Education projects often require glazed fire-rated and non-fire solid core doors to ensure light and vision levels are maintained in corridors, hallways and other high-traffic areas. We also have door solutions that assist with the provision of clear, effective access within the building. Fire resistant glazing in educational facilities no longer implies the use of wired glass because our clear fire rated glass also meets the NZS Grade A Safety requirement. In addition to our standardrange of doors, we can offer bespoke doors to meet a specific brief.
"NZFD provided us with a fire engineer who was prepared to look into alternative FRR timber framed window solutions. No other company was prepared to even discuss the idea of an alternative solution. NZFD are easy to communicate with and follow up with their technical information quickly."
